Osmocote are encapsulated nutrients contained in round resin-coated pellets. Each time you water your plants, the resin coating gradually melts away to deliver a little fertilizer at a time.
Slow, time or controlled release fertilizers release nutrients slowly over time to deliver an ongoing supply of nutrition to your plants. They are less likely to burn plants than quick-release products, when used according to label directions.
